Job Title: PRN RN – Perioperative (Pre/During/Post-Op)
Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: PRN – Wednesdays (cover as needed)
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide perioperative care for patients before, during, and after surgery. This PRN role is perfect for an experienced RN looking for a flexible schedule, covering Wednesdays when our primary RN is out. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on surgical experience and be part of a dynamic healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operative assessments and patient education.
- Assist in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and adherence to surgical protocols.
- Monitor patients post-operatively, manage recovery, and provide education for discharge.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Tennessee.
- Previous perioperative experience preferred.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
