Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN): Function as part of a team assigned to a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, or other long-term care facility.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide direct patient care support and function under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse (RN)
• Provide exceptional patient care as per physician's orders
• Obtain patient health information and vital signs, record information in the medical chart and/or electronic medical record
• Advocate for patients and their families
• Work with patients who may be disoriented, hostile, or confused

Qualifications:

• Possess current, applicable state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse
• Require six (6) months current experience as an LPN or LNV
• Retain current BLS/CPR certification
• Require verbal and written skills in English
• May be required to pass a drug test, if allowed by state law
• Successfully pass a background check

Job function requirements:

• Able to stand eight (8) to 12 hours per work schedule
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
• Must have reliable transportation
• Dress appropriately for the healthcare setting by wearing modest attire with minimal accessories that include sturdy, closed toe shoes. Hair should be styled for the professional work environment
